| This is a beautiful wood burning stove. Its front doors swing open for access to the cast iron core. That core is surrounded by an air space and the exterior is metal with a faint wood grain look. The top is an open grate from which most of the heat radiates. The color is a deep magenta/mahogany or dark brown. The flue exits out from the top/rear of the stove and is an asymmetrical oval shape. The stove includes a base to sit on which elevates it from the floor(seen in picture). The "micah" film on the interior door's window is cracked and faded. It also needs a new seal on the top section of the stove. When I purchased the unit, I was told it is about 60 yrs old. It shows the name of "Heatrophonic" on it with a name of Duffy-Trowbridge Fdry. It has no paperwork to it. After purchasing, I learned I needed 18" of clearance to the wall for the stove, which is more than I wanted, so I'm buying a new stove. The stove's dimensions are: 27" deep including the flue, 29" wide, 48" tall including the pedastal base. I've never weighed it, but am estimating 450 to 500 lbs. |
